CONNECTING SCOTTISH BUSINESS LEADERS

IN MELBOURNE.

about the society

Founded in 2020 by Nick Broadley, The Society brings together a vibrant community of Scottish business leaders who, at their core, share a remarkable connection of 2 or 3 degrees of separation.

Our mission is clear: to foster enduring and meaningful relationships within the Scottish business community in Melbourne, with a vision that spans generations.

Driven by purpose, The Society is dedicated to giving back to the city that has been instrumental in our collective success. Melbourne has provided us with unparalleled opportunities for growth and exploration, ones that may have been elusive had we remained in Scotland. As we look ahead, we envision a Society that continues to flourish, delivering exceptional value to its members and the wider community.

Join us as we build a tight-knit network of Scottish business leaders, creating an environment where connections thrive, partnerships flourish, and remarkable achievements are born. Together, we will leave a lasting legacy that resonates for years to come.

MEMBER EVENTS

The Society holds several events and gatherings over the year each with a purpose to connect its members and offer some insight and value into the story and developments of Scots business in Melbourne. Stay tuned.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The society has a fantastic group of committee members that love the St Andrew’s Society concept and are keen to see it grow and develop into something special. The members are all volunteers and generously give up their time to make a difference. On a less serious note, like all Scots, we love a get-together over wine and beer to discuss all things society and share some typical Scottish banter!

Cam was raised in Edinburgh and ventured north to study economics (and play golf!) at the University of St Andrews. Graduating in 1998, he decided to go backpacking for nine months. He arrived in Melbourne in October 1998 on Caulfield Cup. 24 years and more than half his life later, he’s still here! Cam is a Director at McGrathNicol assisting companies with dispute resolution and quantification of loss. Out of work, he’s a keen golfer, sailor and skier (snow permitting) and tries to return to Scotland once a year to see his family, friends and enjoy the European summer.
